Cooper’s Hill: A Year

Here we have 12 linocuts, one per month, documenting how some woods near Egham change across a year.

They are quite experimental in nature which is why they have a range of aesthetics. They are my first linocuts in a very long time, so I was trying different things out and came up with some quite unusual techniques and pushed the limits of some papers. If you’re interested in this aspect, it’s worth looking at my instagram feed as the technicalities are discussed in the relevant posts.

All are 6″ x 4″ (except September, for which I cut down the block a little) and are in editions of 12 + 2 proofs.
